PARKING

DOWNTOWN VENTURA

Historic Downtown Ventura has over 1,000 free–all–day parking spaces to choose from. We recommend the nine lots shown in the map, which also identifies the closest freeway exits.

Closest Lots: The lots closest to the Museum, the ride start, and the ride finish are Lots #4, #5 and #6. These lots have over 100 spaces, but note they will likely fill up with the earliest riders.

Cool Breeze Tip: If you try, but find these lots full, go to Lots #2 and #3 before trying the others.

Lots Nearest to Southbound 101 or 33: Lots #1, #2, and #3 are near the Main Street exits. If they are full, proceed on Santa Clara Street to the Parking Structure (#7) and use only the upper 2 levels for all–day parking. If that doesn’t work, take a left from Santa Clara Street onto Chestnut Street up to Lots #8, #9, and #10.

Cool Breeze Tip: Lots #8, #9, and #10 will probably have space even for the latest arriving cyclists.

Cool Breeze Tip: There is some available parking on surface streets and in lots in the downtown area not shown on this map, but take care not to park in limited or metered spaces or in lots with 4–hour spaces. You will be ticketed.

Cool Breeze Tip: If you are staying in a hotel/motel within a mile of the ride start, we recommend that you ride from the hotel. We also recommend that you spend the weekend—Friday and Saturday nights. Main Street Downtown Ventura and other areas rock on those nights, and Ventura has many other attractions. See “VISIT VENTURA” for more information.
