Through your registration you are giving back. Every person involved is a volunteer, and every dollar raised goes back into the ride or to programs that support cycling and our local community. Channel Islands Bicycle Club and Ventura Kiwanis have partnered as hosts for over 25 years. Their use of the net proceeds, in summary, is:
CHANNEL ISLANDS BICYCLE CLUB
CIBC funds bicycle safety training in schools, supports advocacy organizations like Bike Ventura County, provides helmets, lights, and bikes to those in need and aids other programs that support cycling.
KIWANIS CLUB OF VENTURA FOUNDATION
The Kiwanis Club of Ventura serves the youth and vulnerable adults of Ventura through school service leadership clubs, scholarships, an annual holiday party for 150 children & their support in special needs classes, and other programs. We partner with VUSD, Salvation Army, 805 Community for Children, Ventura Aktion Club, Ventura Chamber of Commerce and others.
ORGANIZING PARTNER:
Downtown Ventura Organization significantly supports Cool Breeze through interaction with the City of Ventura, applying for permits and helping organize Mission Park. Its motto is “Here in Downtown, we check stress and pretense at the door. Be yourself. Come experience our art and culture, enduring history, and find out why our privileged beach–side locale is crazy–inviting and refreshingly human.”
