CHANNEL ISLANDS BICYCLE CLUB
Channel Islands Bicycle Club (CIBC) is a nonprofit, recreational organization for beginning and experienced road bicyclists, providing enjoyable and safe rides in and around Ventura, Santa Barbara, and LA Counties.
CIBC provides grants to improve and heighten the biking community, promote bicycling, encourage youth cycling, support other cycling programs, encourage ridership growth, and promote safe cycling.
KIWANIS CLUB OF VENTURA FOUNDATION
Ventura Kiwanis is a group of dedicated volunteers serving the needs of Ventura with an emphasis on youth and vulnerable adults, while providing its members opportunities for fellowship, leadership, and business relations.
Among other services, we support schools through several school service leadership clubs, basketball tournaments, an annual Holiday party for students with special needs, scholarships, etc. We also sponsor an Aktion Club for adults with developmental needs, volunteer for and support the Salvation Army, Pier Under the Stars, and other organizations, and provide awards to first responders.
ORGANIZING PARTNER:
Downtown Ventura Organization significantly supports Cool Breeze through interaction with the City of Ventura, applying for permits and helping organize Mission Park. Its motto is “Here in Downtown, we check stress and pretense at the door. Be yourself. Come experience our art and culture, enduring history, and find out why our privileged beach–side locale is crazy–inviting and refreshingly human.”
